Dear Shugart Family,

We are praying that your focus will be firmly on God today and in the days to come. Praying that His Peace, Presence and Power displaces any fear & worry. As you sit quietly before Him, we pray your whole being will be engulfed by His mighty Love as you continue to Trust and walk by Faith. We love you all so very, very much! Remember: the Tomb is empty. He is Risen and for that we can rejoice & have hope! Love, Steven & Liz xoxo

Gary and Debbie,
I don't know where to begin to say how sorry I am. I know right now Dylan is walking with the Lord and is so much better off than you and I are. My heart breaks for you because I can't imagine what you are going through. I wish I could come to the visitation this weekend but Jerry and I are leaving Friday going to see Neal in Florida. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God bless you.

Love,
Phyllis Hufstetler

Gary and Debbie,
Words escape at a time such as this. Our heart is breaking with yours. There is the comfort of knowing Dylan is at home with the Lord and the assurance we will join him in heaven praising our Savior forever.

You have been continually in our prayers these last few years. Our hearts haved ached with yours. We love you, and we will continue to pray for "the peace of God that surpasses understanding" for both of you.

Love
Tim and Charlene Erwin

Gary and Debbie, I've been keeping up with y'all on the blog here. I'm so sorry to hear this. I remember watching Dylan as a kid from across the street. I'm sorry that I won't be able to come by and see y'all this weekend, I have to be out of town. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Love you!

Dear Gary and Debbie, as many others have said, words fail me right now. We are so sorry. You are some of the sweetest people I have ever met and oh how I would love to be able to make this all better for you right now. We love you and we are praying for you continually. Dylan was much loved and the memory I have of him was he was always smiling! That is who I see when he comes to mind. The picture that was put on this blog of him is such a perfect example of how I think of him. God bless you both. David, Lanelle, Rebecca and Marlee Rogers

Dear Gary, Debbie & Family,

We know the difficulty and the pain this day will bring for all of you. We are praying that during the visitation time you will know the Father's great love for you through the Body of Christ that will be pouring out a Spirit of Love upon you today. The reading in Our Daily Bread is such a beautiful picture of how our hearts are united in times of sorrow & grief and this can bring us great comfort.

We wish we were there in person to put our loving arms around you, but just know we are praying for you hourly as we go through this day together in Christ's perfect love.

We love and miss "yous guys"! Steven & Liz xoxo

O Heavenly Father, pour out your Spirit of Love & Comfort upon the Shugart Family in these hours of need. Your word says that You "give strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak" Isaiah 40:29. Allow the Shugarts to know this strength & power through the Holy Spirit that lives within them. May they draw near to You, O God, day by day with every passing hour, trusting in your Word & precious promises to sustain them. Surround them with loving and comforting family/friends who will continue to minister to their very hurting hearts. Flood them with your Peace that surpasses all knowledge & understanding. Keep them, Dear Jesus, in your Mighty grip holding them so that they will not fall or stumble but continue to point others to Jesus .... the Author and perfecter of their Faith. May you, O Great & Awesome God, be glorified as others see the very hand of God at work in their lives this hour.
We pray this in Jesus' name, our precious Lord and Savior. Amen! Amen!

Our thoughts can't seem to get away from you this week and weekend. Please know that we are still lifting you up to our precious Heavenly Father. We love you and so wish that we could be there to love on you and to honor Dylan. We loved that boy. He will always be special and dear to us. We still have our Christmas card on our fridge of the three of you. We love you.

Dear Shugart Family,

I wanted you to know that you've especially been on my heart both yesterday and today, and I've been lifting you up before the Father asking that He bring you comfort in what I know will be difficult days. We pray that the funeral service today will bring you comfort and honor the Lord. I pray that your faith would remain strong and that the gospel would give you hope and joy through your darkest hours (1 Pet. 1:1-9). We love you and will miss you all while we're away in Africa. We look forward to seeing Gary and Debbie when we get back home. Know that we, along with brothers and sisters in Christ in Uganda, will be interceding for you in prayer.

Love,
Kyle & Caroline
