Update 5/14 2:30pm

Spoke with Gary a few moments ago and he said that Dylan had a rough night last night. He woke up a good bit and had some bad dreams that made it difficult to sleep. Apparently, he was able to sleep some during the day today, which is good, but Gary and Debbie would prefer him to be on a normal sleep cycle. The prayer request here is for God's peace to fill Dylan's mind so that he will be able to get a good night's rest.

Also, the nurses have had to change Dylan's sheets today several times already because of the fluid his body is losing. Apparently, fluid under his skin forms blisters, which burst and cause a good bit of discomfort. Although it's certainly good that Dylan is losing fluid, this doesn't appear to be the optimal way to do it. Let's pray that dialysis and functioning kidneys will remove the rest.

Dylan's blood pressure was down today, and because of that dialysis may not be possible. Again, let's pray for his blood pressure to rise and stabilize so that dialysis is possible.

One bit of very good news: Gary had a meeting today with two of his professors to discuss the coursework he had missed over the last several weeks. Both were very gracious, and it appears that Gary will be able to earn credit from these classes for the semester. He still has at least one final exam to take, but he has received a lengthy extension on the due date to make this possible. Let's praise God for these two men who showed so much kindness to Gary.

Hello Folks,

I hope that all of you were able to have a better night's rest. Before I slept last night I prayed specifically that the Lord would give you good sleep and rest. Please be assured that believer's are still praying in your behalf and will not cease doing so. We are so thankful for God's faithfulness and that he never tires of our prayers, supplications, and requests for each other. Our Father is so good.
I love you guys.

Dear Debbie, Dylan & Gary,

Hello from the Peelers! The Rodney and Candy Peelers to be specific. ;-)

I am so happy to know of this blog so that I can hear for myself how Dylan is doing and also have a convenient means of getting messages of love and faith and prayers to you all (without burdening you further with needing to take phone calls).

Please know that though it has been a long time since we've spoken, we have never forgotten y'all and think of you all often and pray for you daily. Margaret and James keep us up to date as reports come in to Russell Hill but that isn't really as often as I would like.

Please also always know that you are all so loved by God and by us. I don't know what His plan is, but I know that he has one and that it is for very great things. If there is EVER anything at all I can do for any of you, please don't hesitate to phone me (day or night). My work number is (706) 529-1142 and our home number is still (706) 625-2745.

Love always,
Candy and Rodney

We are praying for you tonight as we have all throughout the day.
We love you all so much.
Oh, the prayers that are flooding Heaven for each of you. That we can go to God at anytime, anywhere what a blessing.
We will continue to pray and trust and believe that each day will bring you closer to being well again. Keep the faith and we ask God to give you much needed rest tonight as we know your bodies are tired. Your strength is amazing. So many people are looking at the example for Christ that you are all portraying.
You are exceptional people and we serve an almight God.
Love and prayers,
Mark and Linda

Gary,
All you life you have been special to me. Growing up it was the greatest thing to have you visit or to get to visit your house. Your family was so good to me and you were one of the best friends I had growing up. That we would be not only cousins but friends was a gift of God. I ask God to help you and to give you everything you stand in need of. You will always hold a very special place in my heart. I am praying continually for you and Debbie and Dylan and everyone who loves and cares for you.
Thanks for being such a wonderful member of our family and for being such a strong Christian to be inspired by.
I love you all.
Linda

We pray you are resting at this time and that you have had a peaceful night. We pray morning's light brings a better day for you all. We pray the doctors will know exactly what needs to be done today.
We ask God to give them the knowledge necessary to get Dylan well very soon and that you might all be ready to go home soon.
We will pray throughout the day for each of you.
God bless and keep you.
Love Mark and Linda
