Update from today's visit 5:30pm
There isn't a room available in the BMTU to transfer Dylan today. This is unfortunate as Gary and Debbie would like whatever time that is remaining to be spent in this area of the hospital because it grants them much privacy. Dylan continues to rest peacefully with no dialysis, no antibiotics and a mild sedative for pain. He sleeps a lot and is not very aware of his surroundings. At times he does recognize Gary and Debbie. Just continue to pray for the families patience and that a room would open up in the BTMU ASAP for Dylan to be transfered.

Debbie and Gary, a very good Dr, friend gave these verses to me when my son was so sick. It has been a great help to me. I'm sure you know it but Philipians 4:4-7, but the part that was a comfort to me was verse 7, and the peace of God, which suppress all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ. May prayer for you is to have that peace, in the hours. minute, days, and even years to come. Try not to remember all the pain, remember the good times. Dylan is such a wonderful person and sometimes it hard for us to understand why they must suffer. I know you have prayed many times that it was you in that bed and not Dylan. I know I did. Take care knowing that Dylan will forever live in the lives that he touched. Praying you will have peace. Evelyn Pulley
Gary and Debbie,
There are no words descriptive enough to tell you what I am feeling for you both. Please know you are being thought of and prayed for many time throughout each day and have been for these many weeks.

Gary and Debbie:
Our thoughts keep going back to when Dylan was in our youth group at Trinity. He was such an amazing and strong presence to all of us with such a loving and giving heart. We were proud of him then and we are proud of him now. We love you all and are praying for you.

I'm praying for you all, that God will give you the peace of understanding and the strength to stand. In times like these I'm often reminded of the song "He Grew the Tree" -He grew the Tree that He knew would be Used to make the Old Rugged Cross-. I can't begin to tell you all the smiles Dylan gave to my children at Church. I'm praying for your family as Christ carries you with the love He's provided for us all.
His plan and His details to it's completion.... and we wouldn't want it any other way 'cause even though it's hurts really bad - we know He's right, and good, and His love for us is Perfect...... right down to the last detail. Only God can take the ugly of this world and make it a thing of beauty ..... and all through the bloody ugly death of Christ on the cross.
It is His plan - and it is good - keep holding on to Him and trust - He's got hold of you too!
I love you guys!

Gary, Debbie, and Dylan,
I am praying for you all constantly! I cannot imagine what you are facing, but our God is bigger than anything we will ever face on this earth. Read John 13:7 when you can. God has used this verse several times to comfort me when life doesn't make sense. I love you all!!
His alone,
Cameron Rogers
Good night Shugart family.

Wish we could be there for you but since we can not we will continue to pray.
I can still see Dylan's smiling face. He is a wonderful child (young man now)and I know you are very proud of him. Give him a hug and kiss from me. Remember you have what alot of people don't have. You have God on your side and all things work together for those who believe.
God Bless you all,
