4/26 4:20pm
The Rices spoke with Debbie this afternoon and emailed us this update. Through the dialysis, Dylan has had 30 pounds of fluid removed. The feeding tube is still in place, but on his own, he was able to drink broth and a small amount of a "slushy." The dialysis will continue at least another 24 hours and Doctors will then consider ceasing the process. Dylan stayed awake all day Friday but did not sleep as well as hoped for Friday night. His memory continues to return but the events of last week are still a blurr to him. Dylan even asked if he could get up and walk today but due to the number of tubes, monitors and his own weakness, walking will be contine to be postponed for now. Obviously Gary and Debbie are encouraged at Dylan's progress, but at the same time, they are extremely drained physically and emotionally. However, they rejoice at God's goodness in the darkest hours of the past week through today's progress. Nothing was said in regards to the condition of his liver.

Debbie,
We are encouraged by the latest email. As a mother I am placing you before the Lord daily as well as Dylan and Gary. Dylan has often encouraged my children with his happy spirit. Laura continues to ask daily, "How is Mr. Dylan?" She remembers his friendliness toward her and his giving her gum. As a family we pray for Dylan daily. May Jesus refresh you even tonight as you rest in His goodness to your family.
Love, Dawn Jones (Dave, Johnathan, Laura, and Alison, too)
Praise be to God regardless but thank You, Lord for the sweetness that You have answered our prayers!
Dylan, Debbie and Gary- We are still praying for you and your precious family. We love and miss you, three very much! We pray that God will continue to restore perfect health to all of you. We are excited to see how else God will glorify Himself through all of this! Dylan- John Thomas says "hi and get better so you can come see him!"
Love Always,
Steve, Libby and John Thomas
Hello Dylan, Debbie, and Gary,
Eunice and I are thankful for the progress and improvement in Dylan's health. Please be assured that we're praying for all of you daily. We're thinking of you on this Lord's day and will be lifting you up to the Father this morning as we come together to worship him. Your brother and sister in Christ.
Todd & Eunice
